Smartfish Erogomic Whirl Mouse

wireless ergonomic mouseRight before CES  I was contacted about reviewing the Whirl Ergonomic mouse from Smartfish Technologies. I planned on receiving the mouse when I arrived back home from my trip. While at CES as I wondered around the North Hall of gadgets and accessories, I say the booth for Smartfish Technologies and was able to check out all the products that they had to offer.

Not only did I get a chance to check out all the gadgets from Smartfish Technologies, I also got to meet the inventor of the ergonomic toys. His name is Jack Atzmon. He is a doctor who had a pain one day when playing with his son. His ache never went away and bothered him most when he was on the computer. He decided to create products that allowed for constant motion while doing what we do everyday. Computer work.

Here is his short interview about the Whirl by Smartfish Technologies.

I also received a Whirl mouse by Smartfish Technologies. Because I use a laptop and my DH uses a desktop with no desk hooked up to a flat screen TV on the wall of out bedroom, we sent the Whirl ergonomic optical mouse in the room with my 16 year old son. He is a World of Warcraft Addict and spends many hours on the computer each week. Knowing that his amount of computer usage can cause issues as he gets older, I like that the mouse has him constantly moving his wrists in different positions. I think it took him a few minutes to get used to the design, but like I said it was just a few minutes. The Whirl mouse is a wireless optical mouse that plugs into the computer by USB. After plugging in the USB adapter it took a about 2 minutes for the drivers to be installed. Then the computer mouse was good to go.

When I asked him, he said:

It is just like a normal mouse but now my wrist does not get sore because of being in the same constant position. This is the best best ergonomic mouse I have ever used.

Smartfish also has other ergonomic items in their lineup.

That’s actually a really neat idea, I might take a close look at this. Thankfully my wrist rarely hurts, maybe I don’t work hard enough, lol.

Thanks for the giveaway…I would be using the Smartfish Ergonomic Whirl Mouse; use the computer about six hours a day, work / home combined.
