I am so proud to be part of the Whirlpool Moms campaign with Mom Central. A couple weeks ago I received my awesome set of Whirlpool Duets. I was replacing my LG front load washer and dryer set. I had purchased them about a year and a half ago after my dryer broke for the second time. When I went to look at washer and dryer sets the sales person deceived me. I have a 6 person household. I made it a point to tell the sales rep that I needed a washer that was large enough to wash a king size comforter. I was concerned about the size of washer he was showing me, but he insured me that it was large enough. He sold me the LG set and a month later when I washed my king size comforter it did not fit well. I was not satisfied, but what could I do at that point.

The Whirlpool duet washer and dryer that I received is a grey or stainless steel color. I really did not have a choice when I purchased my LG set.
The first items that I washed in the new Whirlpool Duets were jeans. I grabbed about 6 pairs of my husband’s jeans and 3 pair of my own. I tossed the jeans in, closed the door and added a cup of detergent. To my surprise, the digital screen on the washer machine had a message to add more detergent. I was puzzled but began to add an un-measured amount of detergent. Then I noticed the Precise Dispense feature. My interest perked up. I began to read about the feature and was so happy my washer actually dispensed the correct amount of detergent depending on the load options. There are setting to choose depending if your detergent is 2x, 3x, or 4x.
Now let me tell you why the Precise Dispense feature of the Whirlpool duet washer is so important to me. I have kids old enough to wash their own clothes, but they aren’t very good about adding the correct amount of detergent. I always catch them just adding a full cup no matter what or how much they are washing. With the precise dispense feature I will now be saving on detergent. The kids will no longer be wasting my detergent in their loads of laundry.
I am going to close this post with the comment my Tevin (12) made. This morning he asked me “mom, if the washer dispenses the laundry soap, does the dryer dispense the dryer sheets?” I did not answer and just gave him that “did you really ask that” look. But who knows, in the future this may become a feature

Hi Jessica. Thanks for sharing with us. It’s a very nice story I’d say.

I had the same problem with King size comforters when I bought my first washer dryer set, but luckily they fit. I’ve been curious about front loading washers and am considering buying a new washer and dryer. Whirlpool is my brand of choice ( I’ve been told my repairmen that Kenmore is also made by Whirlpool). My frig is a side by side Whirlpool and I love it. Glad it all worked out for you.
