Sometimes our Twitter accounts can get cluttered with following people and people following you. There are tons of people that sign up for Twitter, and move on from their Twitter account after you are following them. Some people you follow end up to be pure spam.
You should delete these Twitter accounts that obviously not networking with you. So your question, how do you get rid of these Twitter profiles from your network.
Every few months it is a good rule to clean up your Twitter account. Some of the profiles you want to get rid of are those who have never tweeted, have not tweeted in over a month,and spammers.
There are some great Twitter tools out there. I found 3 good ones that help you sort and unfollow inactive Twitter accounts:
Twitoria searches your Twitter account to find those that have not tweeted in a certain amount of time. You can use the tool to unfollow them.
Twitter TwerpScan does the same at Twitoria and has several other options.
Untweeps is the easiest in my opinion. I actually use this site about once a month to unfollow inactive Twitter accounts.
Keep your Twitter account clean and stop following the inactive users that are not adding any value to your profile
