Houston AT&T customers have been waiting for this new 4G LTE service to launch. The 4G LTE service is up to 10 times faster than 3G services. They no longer have to wait for the faster speed and soon will have many devices to choose from that is 4G LTE compatible. Currently AT&T offers 4 devices that are compatible with the service. Those include:
- HTC Jetstream tablet
- AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G
- AT&T Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G
- AT&T USBConnect Adrenaline
I wrote about the new site that AT&T launched to show areas that have had service upgrades for the Houston market. The site is called AT&T Focus. Now you can use that same site to view the map of the service are for the new mobile broadband technologies.
As you can see most of Houston and surrounding areas are covered. AT&T has plans to extend the 4G LTE service to other areas. Houston is one of the first 5 cities nationwide to receive the service upgrade. AT&T launched similar upgrades in San Antonio, Dallas, Chicago, and Atlanta.
