Hey Jessica,
Thanks for posting our infographic! I’ve noticed a lot of great comments and questions. For those of you who want a full explanation of this infographic and PR in debth, you can view the original blog post where this graphic first appeared as part of zippycart’s seo series: http://www.zippycart.com/ecommerce-news/1409-understanding-pagerank-to-optimize-your-online-store.html
Jessica I’ve been reading through your blog and would love it if you were up for gust posting on zippycart. You have my email so let me know

THAT is AWESOME. And I totally get it now. I mean… better then before. Ya know? I just still don’t understand why GPR has anything to do with how people pick advertising and reviews. I mean I do, but I think it’s silly. My thought is, everyone should have a chance. Iuno… might just be me and my jealousy HAHA

actually google stated last year that page rank really meant nothing, but they keep updating it. It is just stupid all together.
Jessica, you rock! I never understood how PR worked until now. I really appreciate the work you put into this. Nice graphic!
I have been recently exploring the Google PR thing a little bit and was confused by it until today…this is BRILLIANT! Thanks for the explanation. I can’t wait to share this one =) Oh, and I work for a .edu web team…wonder if I could some how sneak a link to my blog on the site – would it “boost” my rankings? ROFL…it might get me fired…hehehe. Not really worth the chance but a funny idea for the moment. I will be sharing this one with my team first thing Monday morning in our team meeting!
I have been searching trying to figure out why my site dropped from a PR ranking of 4 to 0!! It happened at exactly the same time as when I bought my own domain name and went from blogspot.com to just .com. So frustrating. Guess I am just stuck?
Your page rank is attached to the domain name. So when you purchased the new one, your page rank dropped to 0. As long as everything is redirected correctly, Google will re-associate the posts and pages to the new domain and you “should” get a page rank next time google hands them out. I think that will be in October.
