Google Nexus S- Is Google Taking Over?

Tomorrow December 16th the Google Nexus S will be launched for sale unlocked at Best Buy. The Nexus S smartphone will be the first smartphone to run the Gingerbread OS Andriod 2.3 operating system. This OS is said to be the fastest yet of the Android. The new Gingerbread OS picked up some great new features like multi-tasking, Wi-Fi hotspot, and improved keyboard, and near field communication support (NFC).

NEW google nexus s by samsungThe Nexus S Google Smartphone has a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and combined with 16GB of internal memory that makes this one of the fastest phones available. Everything is faster including the menus, tabs, and web pages.

The Nexus S Google smartphone is made by Samsung. They created this sleek phone with a contour display, 4 inch curved glass screen to combat glare, so you can see your screen no matter where you are, night or day.

Most smartphones come equipped with dual cameras nowadays. The Nexus S does not let us down including a 5 megapixel back facing camera with focus and flash and a front facing VGA camera. (640×480)

Is Google trying to take steps to take over the smartphone industry? I don’t know but they are setting the smartphone bar high with the Nexus S Google smartphone.

So I looked it up – $529. I would actually consider it, but it looks like just from the first 2 articles I pulled up that they are expecting a high demand and I’m not going that far for it. Maybe after Christmas the rush will die down. I need a new phone and have about decided on an android or windows 7 system. I like the idea of buying from best buy though instead of ebay as I usually do.
