We get a whole month to focus on black history. I wanted to focus on some great black bloggers. There is great content being written on the world wide web by some fabulous brown folks. Shining a spotlight on those individuals lets them know their voice is being heard.
At first, it was hard for me to think of a solid list. I wanted to write a post per day of the month of February about each blogger but came up with the idea to do 10 per week in a weekly series post for Black history month.
Each of these bloggers are great in their own way and this is in no way to say they are the best. Their niches are scattered across a wide range of subjects. These black bloggers have stuck out to me. I have left a few that I have talked about in the past off to make room for a few new sites I have recently found.
Remember this is the first of four lists so make sure you come back next Wednesday to check out another group of black bloggers doing their thing in the blogosphere.

Nikki is a mommy blogger and blogs about being a mom to a biracial blasian son. |

Luvvie is a humor blogger that will make you roll on the ground holding your stomach crying reading her blog. |

Jenn is an Atlanta mommy blogger and writes product reviews. Sometimes she can get a bit raw about mommyhood. |

Wayne Sutton is the co-founder of @TriOut, location-based geek, blogger, entrepreneur, former journalist, loves community, husband, father & overall nerd. |

Jen is a good friend of mine who started blogging for business and as a mommy blogger. Her employer noticed how much she was into social media and now she is directing social media for her job. Her blog is a little bit of everything. |

Lawanda is a beauty blogger by night and writes about all things beautiful. By day she runs her PR company Media Mingle. |
 |
Tamona is a Texas blogger and blogs about tips, working at home, saving money, and dealing with life in the PHAT lane. |
 |
Terrance is a fellow geek tech blogger. I really like that he feels the same way that I do in that most people are not as interested in technology as they are afraid or intimidated by it. |

Jackie is a Detroit blogger. She blogs about city of Detroit events, freebies, coupons, contests and many local scholarships to schools within metro Detroit. |

Nicole is a Chicago mom blogger who blogs about life and also writes product reviews. |
